About Cactus Cruisers AMC

The Cactus Cruisers AMC Club was formed in 1997 in Peoria, Arizona for the enjoyment, preservation and restoration of AMC vehicles built by American Motors Corporation from 1958-1988, and Jeep vehicles built from 1970-1988. Our club periodically publishes a newsletter, The Southwest Scorcher which contains club news, news about the hobby, products for your car, classified ads, event coverage, technical tips, a calendar of upcoming events and many other items of interest to AMC enthusiasts.

The Cactus Cruisers AMC Club meets on the second Saturday of every month at various locations throughout the Valley of the Sun. Our dues are just $12.00 per year.

Your car does not have to be a beautiful show car or a restored classic to be a member of the Cactus Cruisers AMC Club. Although we have some beautiful show cars, our cars are primarily to enjoy and their respective conditions vary widely. Our members are also happy to do what they can to give you information regarding parts, restoration or historical matters, etc.

The Cactus Cruisers AMC Club produces a car show called the Cactus Classic. This annual spring show is well attended by AMC vehicles from all over Arizona and neighboring states and is a definite must-see for any AMC enthusiast. The club has also hosted the American Motors Owners Association International convention twice in the last 15 years. This annual show draws cars from all over North America.
